Waiting is was the hardest part.
Sao Paulo - Brazil
I was ready to experience new things. I was ready to see new places. But the one thing that I was not prepared for was the amount of waiting that goes into traveling. I have lived most of my adult life in a perpetual state of motion. Waiting was just a waste of time. So it came as quite a shock to my system to actually have to slow down or even stop for long periods of time. Fourteen hour flights, six hour layovers, twenty-one hour bus rides. But something eventually happened to me over the course of six weeks of waiting in one form or another. I developed what some people like to refer to as patience. This could be the single most important thing I brought back from my trip.
