Alone.

3Wheel
I was out on my bike the other night around 1am, when I came across this little dude all by itself on the sidewalk underneath a lonely street light. The setting was something out of a movie.

Four Eyes.

Arthur was here...
I have always liked glasses. I remember lying to an optometrist as a child just so he would give me reading glasses. I really didn't need them, but they made me feel intelligent and distinguished. I somehow thought the other kids would like me more. They would look at me and say "That guy is so smart!" "Why can't we be as cool as him?". The only things that could snap me out of my grandiose day dreams were the blinding headaches that accompanied the glasses that I didn't really need. Instead of looking smart and distinguished, I just looked squinty and nauseous most of the time. Lesson learned. The funny thing is that my desire to wear glasses as a kid probably messed up my eyes bad enough to necessitate glasses as an adult. Mission Accomplished!

Serpico!

Serpico
This has to rank pretty high on the random graffiti scale. Well known to movie buffs, but pretty obscure on a pop culture level. I would guess more than half the people that see this, don't get it. Kids these days! Of course if this person were to have stenciled out a Tony Montana portrait on his truck every kid on the block would be shouting "Say hello to my little friend!" as they passed.

Ford Fairlane.

Ford
What is it about these old cars that catches our eye? Is it just because they are antiques on 4 wheels? I have a feeling this car turned just as many heads the day it rolled out of the dealership as it does now. Designers used to be fearless and have wild imaginations, but cars today seem so conservative in their design. Somehow, I don't see my 2006 Jetta turning many heads in 40 years. Can you think of many cars on the road now that will be considered "classics" in 40 years?

A man and his chickens.

What is a person to do when they don't like all the random chemicals and additives that find their way into our daily meals or the way giant food corporations treat the animals we eat? Raise your own. Or just be friends with someone that does. Free eggs!!!!

Punch Buggy!

VeeDub
I used to hate that game because I was a always just a little slower to notice the cars. Actually, it wasn't that I was slower, it was more that I was just so used to seeing the VW's that my mind didn't process that seeing one meant anything special. As a result I spent a majority of my childhood and early teens with perpetually bruised arms. Nowadays I can't see a VW Beetle with out having a Pavlovian-like response of grabbing my arm in pain.

Tiny House.

Tiny House

I saw this out of the corner of my eye as I was driving around the neighborhood. Someone had obviously put a bit of time in to painting the fake window on their little shed. While every attempt was to made to have this look cute and homey, there was just something very odd about it to me. Like a Tim Burton movie where it's cuteness only makes serves to make it scary.
