I have started a new series of portraits. The premise is simplicity. Every image will be shot with one of the most basic of lenses, the 50mm. There will be no distortion, no filters and no special post-process used. The idea being that the person in the picture is infinitely more important than the the camera, lenses or special effects that many people use. In many ways it is the easiest way to make a photograph, but in a lot of other ways it is much harder as there is no gimmicks to fall back on.
