I'm not sure how old the mural is. I know that it has been on this fence since my family moved to Allen around 1994. I always imagined it to be some relic from the cold war reminding the kids not to grow up and become commies. The funny thing about it is that someone comes along every once in a while and touches up the flag, making sure it doesn't fade, while neglecting the rest of the picture. I always found that odd.
